Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly, 2nd version - Aglais urticae

Watercolour - image 22.5" x 16.5" (framed 35" x 28") - a butterfly commonplace as a child in the British Isles.

Painted using artist grade paints/watercolours on archival paper (Arches), typically framed under museum-quality glass with archival matting and boards.  

Exhibition History
This, my 2nd version of the Aglais, was included in my solo show at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, May-Sept 2026.
