PRIDE BUTTERFLY - original watercolour

Pride Butterfly created for the 2025 Pride Celebrations.  The Pride Butterfly is based on the Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly (Aglais urticae), with the hind wings painted with the six-stripe version of the standard Pride Flag.  Had a few flags created from it - one in the pic was carried in the Pride Parade here in Cleveland, while another one is hanging in the Jukebox pub, a LGBTQ+ friendly bar here in Cleveland.  Painted in honour of friends in the LGBTQ+ community.

Painted using artist grade paints/watercolours on archival paper (Arches), typically framed under museum-quality glass with archival matting and boards.
