Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (female) - papilio glaucus - SOLD
Further worked on the watercolor painting, well happy with how it now looks - will add more photos. A day after it was finished up and framed, it SOLD at the 49th Lakewood Arts Festival, Aug 2026.
The painting is of the female butterfly, having the blue and red markings on the hind wings, the male is a tad more drab. The butterfly ranges across the whole eastern half of the US, from Canada down to Texas.
watercolor - image 20" x 18" (unframed), 30" x 24" (framed)
Painted using artist grade paints/watercolours on archival paper (Arches), typically framed under museum-quality glass with archival matting and boards.
