Cycling jersey design for Team Velo-Vino 2025

On July 4th, 2025, friend Jill Davis passed on after battling cancer for the last 2 yrs or so. A couple of weeks before Jill died, she requested I design the jersey for Team Velo Vino, a cycling team based out of Toast Bar riding in Cleveland Clinic’s annual VeloSano ride to raise funds to cancer research. The team was initiated to ride for Jill's husband Jeff, who died of cancer in 2018.

  • The monarch, swallowtail, and lady bug are my watercolour renderings of 3 insects found in Ohio.
  • The Ohio border formed with names of family and friends that the team are riding for.
  • The cancer awareness ribbon is placed over Cleveland.
  • In honour of Jill, Jeff, Joe S, and all that have worked there over the years, I positioned Toast CLE with "Where Memories Were Made" as an appreciation to all the laughs and wonderful times that we have had there. Thank you, one and all!
