Fairmount Center for the Arts 50th Annual Juried Art Show

Honoured to have 2 pieces accepted into the 50th Annual juried show at Fairmount Center for the Arts:

a) African Boy (charcoal) - People's Choice award.
b) Green Lionfish (watercolor) - Honorable Mention.

"African Boy" charcoal is a followup version of a charcoal drawing created from a photo friend Monica brought back from a trip to Kilimanjaro with her now husband Griff.  Monica requested I pick one of Griff's photos to draw for a present to him. Honoured to be asked but tbh I had no idea what I was doing, just put layers of charcoal down and here he is...I like how he looks like he's either about to burst into tears or hit you.  Alas, owing to obligations at my gallery I was unable to make the closing but a huge THANK YOU to everyone that voted for my work.
